These terms govern your use of the Marbles platform, operated by Covalent API Pty Ltd (ABN 65 652 751 598), a company incorporated in New South Wales, Australia.
Marbles is a bookkeeping service combined with the cloud software your books live in. We reconcile and code your transactions, match receipts and invoices, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, keep your records current, and prepare your quarterly BAS - together with tools for invoicing, reporting and record keeping. The service is provided on a monthly basis.
By using Marbles you agree to these terms. If you are using Marbles on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must be at least 18 years old and operating a legitimate business to use Marbles. We reserve the right to terminate accounts used for unlawful purposes.
Marbles is billed monthly in advance. All prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST - GST is added to each invoice at the prevailing rate, and we issue a tax invoice for every payment. Your monthly price is based on your average monthly business expenses, as set out on our pricing page. If your expenses move you into a different tier for a sustained period, we will discuss the change with you before your price changes - never a surprise bill. Pricing changes otherwise require 30 days written notice.
Marbles is fixed price bookkeeping: there is no hourly billing for your regular bookkeeping. Catch up bookkeeping for months you are behind is charged at your normal monthly rate for each month caught up, agreed with you before we start.
Refunds are available within 14 days of any billing event if you have not materially used the service in that period. After 14 days, we do not offer refunds for partially used months.
You own your data. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over the financial data, contacts, documents, or other content you store in Marbles. We process it solely to provide the service.
You may export your data at any time through the Marbles export tools. On account closure, we retain your data for 7 years in accordance with ATO record keeping requirements, after which it is permanently deleted.
Marbles delivers your bookkeeping using a combination of automated systems and our team in Australia. Prepared outputs - including your BAS - are provided for your review and are not professional accounting or tax advice. You remain responsible for reviewing, approving, and lodging all financial documents, or engaging your accountant to do so.
We do not use your individual financial data to train shared AI models. Aggregated and anonymised patterns may inform model improvements across the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Marbles is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform. Our liability for direct loss in any 12-month period is capped at the subscription fees you paid in that period.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You may cancel your service at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these terms or use the service unlawfully.
On termination you retain access to your data export for 30 days. After that, data is archived and retained for the statutory period.
